The Neighborhoods We Cover

Downtown Tampa

Downtown is the city's business core, and the bay area's banking center sits in these same blocks. Offices run on glass doors and fob readers, so most calls are about access control or a lock that stopped turning. We meet you at the door.

Westshore

Westshore holds roughly 4,000 businesses, along with 32 hotels and two large malls. Shop and hotel doors take a beating, so worn cylinders and latches that will not catch fill much of the day, and lock replacement is quoted before we start.

Hyde Park

Hyde Park keeps block after block of old houses and bungalows. Hardware on those doors is often mortise work, and screws back out of soft wood, so a swap is rarely plain. After a sale, owners often ask us to rekey instead.

Ybor City

Ybor City grew in the 1880s around Vicente Martinez Ybor's cigar factories, settled by families from Cuba, Spain and Italy. The brick buildings carry heavy wood doors. A key snapping in a tired lock brings us out often for broken key removal.

Seminole Heights

Seminole Heights is known for Craftsman bungalows that go back to the early 1900s. Doors that old sit in wood that has shifted through wet summers, so a lock can bind when nothing is wrong. Call (813) 555-0100 and say what the key does.

Tampa Heights

Tampa Heights sits near the middle of the map, among the city's oldest parts. Renovation is steady here, so keys spread and go missing. One visit can put every exterior door on one key, and many owners add a stronger front lock.

Channel District

The twin 30-story Towers of Channelside were finished in 2007, and mid-rise blocks have kept rising since. Condo life means fobs, readers and mail room doors more than plain keys, so we program fobs, change unit cylinders and fit keyless entry sets.

Davis Islands

Davis Islands holds the Davis Island Yacht Club and Peter O. Knight Airport. Salt air works on springs and pins here until a key that turned last month starts to drag, and a key lost off the dock becomes a house lockout.

Palma Ceia

Palma Ceia is known for its brick streets, much like those in Ybor City. Streets that old carry houses of the same age, with hardware built to be serviced, not replaced. We keep old faceplates where a new lock needs a wider hole.

West Tampa

West Tampa was its own incorporated city from 1895 until the annexation of 1925. Small houses, corner shops and duplexes stand side by side, so one street brings house calls and storefront calls. Call (813) 555-0100 if a key broke off in the door.

Carrollwood

More than 900 houses went up around Lake Carroll in the years from 1959 to 1970. The city grew fastest in the 1950s and 1960s, a pace it has not matched since. Ranch doors from that stretch often still wear their first knob set. A longer screw into the frame makes a door harder to kick.

Town 'n' Country

Nearly 8,000 townhouses and single-family houses were built in Town 'n' Country between 1958 and 1978. Townhouses share walls and patios, and the back slider is the weak point. We fit sash locks and extra bolts on sliders, and key both doors alike.

University (USF area)

The University area borders the campus of the University of South Florida, just southeast of it. Student rentals turn over every summer, our busiest stretch here. Renters lose keys after a late shift, so an emergency lockout is the usual call.

Temple Terrace

Temple Terrace started in the 1920s as a golf course town laid out in Mediterranean Revival style, among the earliest of its kind. Arched doors and thick stucco walls make for odd measurements, so we check the backset and door thickness before quoting.

New Tampa

New Tampa has grown fast since the city took the area in 1988. Most doors here are newer, so work leans toward upgrades: a smart front lock, a keypad on the garage. The University of South Florida opened in 1956 and had 49,876 students in the 2022-2023 year, fourth in the state by enrollment. Call (813) 555-0100 for keys and fobs.

Tampa Palms

Tampa Palms is a planned mix of homes and shops on the Bruce B. Downs corridor, just north of the USF campus. Gated sections bring call boxes, gates and pool doors, so we work with boards and managers on entry systems for shared doors.

Brandon

The 2020 count put 114,626 people in Brandon, up from 103,483 ten years earlier. Growth like that spreads houses wide, so we ask for the subdivision and nearest main road. A locksmith call to a plaza parking lot is steady work, mostly car lockouts.

Riverview

Riverview counted 107,396 residents in 2020, up from 71,050 ten years before. New subdivisions come with builder locks, and a builder key can sit in a drawer for years. A rekey on moving day closes that door, and rear doors get stronger plates.
